Student Government Elections
92nd Session (2022-2023 Academic Year)

Student Government Association general elections take place every spring semester. The​ following positions are available for the 2022-2023 academic year:

  1. President

  2. Vice President

  3. Secretary

  4. Speaker of the Senate

  5. Treasurer


This year the eligibility requirements have been modified to make the elections more open and accessible to all students. Undergraduate and graduate students who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

  1. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above

  2. Must attend senate meetings on Tuesdays from 3-4:20pm

  3. Must be in good disciplinary and academic standing 

  4. Must be enrolled for the 2022-2023 academic year – 9 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 6 credit hours per semester for graduate students

All rules and regulations concerning elections and the position descriptions can be found in our bylawsThe application deadline is EXTENDED to Sunday, March 20 at 11:59 p.m.

Students interested in additional information could choose from one of the following informational zoom sessions to learn more about Student Government Association, elections, and the specific positions:

  1. Tuesday, March 1 at 12:30 PM

  2. Wednesday, March 2 at 4:30 PM
